Umass will be missing at least three starters for the second game in a row.
Both starting tackles Colin Stoetzel 6-6 290 and O.J. McBride 6-3 298 are out. Stoetzel is out indefinitely with knee surgery. McBride has a hip injury and is week-to-week.
Starting in their place are Sean Calicchio 6-5 300 and Matt Austin 6-5 285.
The offensive line seemed to play OK last week against Richmond. The pass blocking was good, but the run game struggled. However, that may have been due to Baylark’s being woozy in the first half.
Also possibly out is TB Matt Lawrence who twisted an ankle against Richmond.
If he is unable to go then the replacement will be Raunny Rosario Sr. TB 5-9 190. Rosario is an inspiring story. He lost an eye in a childhood accident he still became an outstanding running back. He had over 3,000 yards rushing and 52 Tds in high school.. At Umass he has 957 yards of total offense.
Also out is LB L.A. Love 6-0 245. He has a knee injury. Love was a starter for much of last year. At 245 pds Love is a heavy hitter and an inspiring player.
