The same writer has an article on "BC Inturruption" that's a fair and accurate description of the UMass-Holy Cross game.

Jeromy Horne was cut by the Kansas City Chiefs, but was added to the practice squad later.

UMass beat Holy Cross for a win over the first of their three OOC games this year.

Our remaining OOC opponents had different results on their first games. CCSU beat Southern CT 35-21 in their 15th straight home victory. Most important statistic for the Blue Devils was holding Southern CT to 284 yards of total offense.

Boston college did not do as well as the Eagles lost on their home field to Northwestern 24-17. NU's win was more impressive because their Heisman candidate QB Dan Persa DNP.

The Eagles also lost senior WR Ifeanyi Momah to a season-ending knee injury.

The loss hurts for the Eagles as the second half of their schedule promises to be harder than the first.
