The Burlington Free Press comments on the very few Vermonters who even got a tryout in the NFL. One player mentioned is former UMass standout Todd Rundle.

Rundle won four letters for the Minutemen in 1984, 85, 86 and 1987. He led UMass in sacks in '86 and '87. Rundle is still 2nd in career sacks with 31.5. All-Yankee Conference in 1885, '86 and '87.

In the "UMass Historical Scans" section of the blog there is a scan of a 1987 article featuring Rundle.
