Boston Mayor Marty Walsh favors the UMass/Robert Craft plan to build a soccer stadium in Boston. This would not be an alternate home field for UMass football. It would bring revenue into the UMass system.

UMass vs Power Five teams will continue to be played in Gillette. Scheduled games against BC and UConn will be played there.
